I don't know if you saw it on TV Doug, but there is a major dispute with Spectrum RV (5th Wheelers and Caravans) in Qld regarding a cancelled order. According to the TV (Current Affair) an aged couple put a $45,000 deposit on a 5th wheeler but found the wife had uncle Al's disease and is now in a nursing home so asked for a refund of the deposit. They were willing to forfeit $10,000 of the deposit for any inconvenience to the owner of the business, so are just asking for $35,000 to be returned.
According to the report, the 5th Wheeler has since been onsold by the dealer (didn't say for how much) but he has refused to refund any deposit amount. Consumer Affairs in Qld are acting as a go between to try to resolve the issue.
In regards to makers, I believe Sunland Caravan have a really good reputation for quality vans, see;
No I haven't seen the story Vic but that is not a nice way to treat elderly people and I sure hope they get all or most of their money back.
I wouldn't even treat a wombat like that ?????
I will check that link for the Sunland for sure. Off to "Retreat" this Saturday and as said before "Gold Star" Tuesday. I think I can then start narrowing "the field".

Prior to looking for a new caravan we made a list of what we wanted and what we didn't want, we found that this reduced our looking time and helped save our legs at the end of the day. Good luck with your caravan search at the Leisurefest.
