We are heading to Adelaide and were going to go via Portland and wondered what is good cabin accommodation there `

have looked on some places on Google and a lot dont have good reviews, wishing now we were taking the van but not worth it for two weeks

you could always stop at Port Fairy, or the other side, Mt Gambia

or even better... just short of Portland at http://www.narrawongcaravanpark.com.au/

Narrawong is a beautiful spot. Better than Portland and not that far away. Head to mt gambier and can recommend pines caravan park, excellent spot just out of the Mount, other side of the blue lake.

Another vote for the caravan park at Narrawong. They have decent cabins there.
