Staying there for almost 3 weeks late Sept/Oct. Any suggestions from others who have stayed there? Whats the fishing and snorkeling like? Any outstanding places to go or things to do?

Make sure you check to see if it is open yet. The national park closed due to damage from Cyclone Jack earlier this year. Parts were closed indefinitely. Check out on http://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/park/cape-range
Enjoy your stay if you do get there. We had our booking cancelled due to the damage, fortunately, we were not there when the storm hit, several caravans were washed out to see.

Cripes, what a shock that would have been, didn't see anything in the news about it, I hope the owners were ok and not in their vans.
All of the camp grounds in the National Park at Exmouth are open now - others are still closed in nearby Parks. We have a 12 mnth WA park entry and also a WA Seniors Card, so 3 weeks cost us less than $250, otherwise its $10 pp. All of the Parks camp sites here now have to be pre-booked on-line - a very easy to use web site and shows each site at each camp ground and what days in each month is booked. Saves the turning up and finding the camps are already full

very rude of me in not thanking you all for your feed-back. Went into momentary panic with the comments on the Park being closed due to earlier storm, then after the dementia had moved on, realized that this site and others in the part are mostly open, as we booked our one on-line (no queuing at gate) and that I had made several inquiries by email direct to Park staff and asking them to arrange perfect weather and fishing for our stay (they have a sense of humour and said that they would)
