Fran, if you are heading back east, suggest you take a bit of time and explore the Eyre Peninsula at this time of year. Places like Streaky Bay, Coffin Bay, Port Lincoln, Cowell are all worth a prop and explore. Also the Flinders Ranges.

which way are you heading?

do you plan or have you been further up WA?

hi blue, as this was a trial run, i think I better head back, i'll prpare for the big lap in the near future.,

as both of us are still working we've never been able to do the "big lap"

so we've been doing it in bits and pieces over the past 8 years... we live in vic, so it was to Darwin and return (on a Goldwing)  Toured around NSW, WA and down the centre again, Tasmania, and this year in July/August Cairns and return.. which was perfect weather for northern QLD... 26* every day and 16 to 18* at night... and the tropical rainforests are incredible..

I'd recommend the Mine Tour that takes you into the mine itself at Kalgoorlie... they also do a blast once a day about 4pm and you can watch it from the top..
