Where in the world is the time going as I don't have any idea at all. I seem to get out of bed and before I know, it is time to go back.
I enjoyed my short stay for a few days in Byron Bay but Monday arrived and it was time to move to another location so I did a long day's drive. All the way to Grafton, approximately 172km, phew, I was buggered after such a long drive. Gee it's real hard out here in the playground, still, I will keep on keeping on.
I had a invite from "Oldbobsbus" Bob and Valda and Jenny, a very good friend of theirs, to prop in their front yard for the night so took up their very kind offer followed by just truly amazing hospitality. Bob took me for a drive around Grafton and we ended up chatting to a friend of his about drawers etc to be made up for the back of the Colorado. Thanks for that Bob, as if I didn't have enough to think about how I am going to set things up. No really, thankyou for your helpful input and advice.
Now Bob and Valda are on a large piece of this great land and is well, sort of a farm and alongside a large creek, magnificent views etc. We got talking about the floods and how the water came up and in the house, I couldn't imagine it as the water was way down at the time I was there. I also learnt something about life on the land the following morning to do with cowes, I won't try and go into it here but it sure was interesting. We sure live in a great place.
One thing though, I got a bit worried after setting up in an area Bob told me to go to, not easy to get out in a hurry either. Now I had never met these people before and when I saw Bob go in the shed and come out with an axe I got real worried, I have seen what happens in the movies. No really, 3 very nice people for sure and so glad I met them, Thankyou so much.
Tuesday found me on my way a little further south to Nambucca Heads to catch up with "Nomadic 1" Lynda who I met for the first time last year while in Townsville and spent two days in NH spending a day with Lynda guiding me around and seeing some lovely places.
Wednesday Lynda and I headed to Bellingen, about 30 minutes north east of Nambucca Heads and inland. Nice little town and very quiet but the Skye's looked a little nasty so we headed back. Got some rain during the night but nothing to worry about. Thanks for a very enjoyable couple of days Lynda.
Thursday I found my way to Penrith and stayed with very good friends "Mongrel" Alan and his lovely wife Adele. Their Daughter and family came around for dinner one night and are also very nice people. Thankyou Alan and Adele for being great hosts once again, you really are true friends.
Now Sunday arrived and I headed south for Mexico and found myself south of the NSW/Victoria boarder early afternoon so set up camp in Wodonga for a couple of days to attend to some business and get blood tests done. Gee you can't get away from some things, even out in the playground.
The weather has really turned cold now and after being in the Tropics for so long I am really feeling it but will keep rugged up and the tug and den are warm so all good really, it won't be cold for long, summer is on the way.
Isn't it ??
Speaking of cold, I am heading over to Warnambool when I leave Wodonga, why I here you ask, well just cos I can I spose.
Well, that's all for this update so keep safe everyone.
I have included a few pics as usual but I found one from my trip up and forgot about it.
