selling

Hi All,

It is with great reluctance and long discussions, that we have decided to sell our campervan, We only bought it last year and had so much work done on it but unfortunately age has caught up with us, after a trip to W.A. we realise that we cannot continue travelling on the road. We have been so lucky we have travelled this wonderful country of ours for almost 16 years and loved every minute of it, have many happy memories that will last us through the years. Now we have to start a new chapter in  life and have a look to see how we can continue to travel but in a more leisurely way. I will still keep on the Forum to see what is happening out on the road. Thank you for all the help you have given me .

16 years of happy memories and wonderful adventures. That's a helluva lot more than most retired people have. Good on you for having made the most of your latter years and I hope you enjoy relaxing a bit more from now on. You're an inspiration to young whippersnappers like me. :)

Hello Helena - it sounds as though you have had a great time travelling and making memories. What sort of campervan do you have for sale? I am not sure of the pros and cons of doing this here - someone might let me know - thanks.

Sorry to hear it Helena, cruises may be an option or cabins/motels for short trips to the country. Bus tours another option.

Hope you find something to suit your needs and thanks for your active contribution to the forum, still keep in touch though and keep us informed of any other type of travels etc.

Hi Heather,

Bill is O.K. thanks for asking. It is just that he has lost a lot of strength in his arms and can't do all the lifting anymore, also we were on the Nullarbor and had a flat tyre and had to rely on others to help us put the spare tyre on. We both felt that if we couldn't be independent on the road it was time to give it all away. We are still hoping to travel although it will be in a different way and not for such long holidays. We will certainly miss on the road travel. Hope you are keeping O.K. say Hi to Norma for us. Anne & Bill.
