Hi everyone, finally made a break for it... I got the van back from Jayco Ballarat last Thursday mid morning after they repaired the damage I had done and removing the club lounge. Eril had to put the "stuff" (technical word) she had taken out and I had to get the new lounge chairs and table sorted as well as checking all the necessary gear for free camping was organised as this was going to be our first free camp on our way to Adelaide then on to Loxton.
We got away midday Saturday only a day late. We decided to head to Adelaide first as the guy who was going to make the acrylic gyroplane windscreen for me could be available on the Monday. That way we would get the business finished and then relax until we have to be home by the 23rd for a shower tea in honour of this, our first grandchild who should arrive around the 11th Sept...
We made it to Serviceton free camp and set up. As we were later than expected we did not bother with the genset and settled in for the night. Could not get the gas hot water to light so need to sort that. After several stops we arrived at the Adelaide cp around 3.30. Heating and electric blankets gave us a good nights sleep. This morning dropped the windscreen sample to the guy and am waiting on a phone call re price and when he can do the job.
