Travelling from Perth to Geraldton yesterday saw a lot of vans heading south.
Just thought I might remind GN's with plenty of time on their hands that Perth and the SW is cold and can be wet as well in the winter months. In another month travelling slowly south through the wild flower season would be the go, time permitting.
I think some of those from over the other side might think Perth has good weather all year round, not true, only 9 months of the year.
Cheers

No different over on the East Coast MR. I have pulled up for a one night stand at St Lawrence and the amount of CV's etc going south has shocked me, heaps of 'em. The weather so far is still nice though but I expect that to change by the time I hit NSW in a couple of days.

Weather is still good in Pilbara, mid to high 20s. the only problem for me is need to be back in Perth by 25th Aug to make another payment on the specialist car. At least he keeps me functioning enough to enjoy this wonderful country.
I hit Carnarvon today, it was 31c but cool outside tonight, I'm not missing Perth's crappy cold weather yet, it's been about 38yrs since I was last here and I've just realised I hate long distance driving, when I was 17-19 it was nothing to jump in the car and cruise from Port Hedland to Perth after work on a Friday just to do laps in the city on a Saturday night then drive back on the Sunday.
