weekends away

The weather is on the improve in Melbourne I am thinking I may plan some weekends away in Caravan parks, to use the heating smile

Will look around 2 to 3 hrs from Melbourne. My daughter and son in law plan to have a weekend away in the van soon, so I have been making it ready for them and now I WANT TO GO!!!!!!!

Love the Grampians in Winter.  And not too far from Melbourne.

Everything is lush and refreshed, creeks flowing, and the rocky escarpments can be great wind breaks.

Many bird species are now actively making nests.

Enjoy which or what ever you decide Judy...........Cheers

Hi, for an easy camp just out of Ballarat I would suggest Smythdale, it's free, toilet, great showers and there is usually a big warming fire burning in BBQ Area. There is power in there also if you need to charge things .

I love the picture on your Post of Maiden, Mother and Crone, what a super garden feature it would make.  Do you know if it is available to buy? and if so where please.  All the best....Kisha

I seriously don't know about you Julie.. But when I was nut's and was into snowboarding big time..

I spent many a year up in the high country in the middle of winter sleeping in the back of the XF Panel van.. Sleeping in the Back of the van in the snow..
Actually the worst weekend was very similar to what we have just had.. -8 and not hitting + figure for the weekend..
-- It was a Killer thou 30-45cm of FRESH Powder snow....

I had to shovel the Van out to move it.. 30cm of snow...

So I know what others are like in the snow... But I do Love it...

I do eventually want to get the Power station up there one year in the future..
