Recall of 6Kva generators

While not directly concerning the RV field  it does show the problems!

It seems there is no end to the crap, that is coming in

Yes, fitted with a RCD, BUT it is NOT functional,. for a very simple reason :roll:

You do deserve an explanation biggrin

Even though your generator may have a full plastic case ..,That has nothing to do with with RCD protection

The Earth  of the 3pin socket/s will be connected to the Actual GENERATOR frame[ the GUTS that generates the power]

In reality it makes no difference to the SAFETY recommendations or how /why an RCD or RVD should be considered

 Perhaps your generator has a terminal marked "EARTH"?

Perhaps the Manual even suggests using an "EARTH STAKE"??

DO NOT connect that "EARTH "terminal to an EARTH Stake or to any other earthed structure, water pipe. steel building frame  etc

Men.. Equal potential bonding I guess if any earth ? To prevent live chassis condition ..

Thanks for the explanation, I'll just leave mine alone, it worked fine the other day for about 4hrs so I figure it's ok.
