I visited a friend some years back who had a Microsoft Flight Sim program, and when I arrived he was taxing a B737 for take off. He was a B747 Captain also. I had a laugh at him and he asked me if I wanted a go. I thought that if I can command a 747, this would be a piece of cake. So after much difficulty in keeping the aircraft on the center line on the take off run, I finally got it off the deck only to get airborne, lose control, did a full unintended barrel roll then the aircraft crashed into a building past the end of the runway and all ended up in flames... No prize if you can guess who was laughing then. Those little computer games are a lot different to the real thing !!
If you get the chance to fly the Lockheed Martin P3D FS you will be amazed at the better quality from them, they purchased the rights to Microsoft's FSX s couple of years ago and have been improving it ever since, have a look here http://www.prepar3d.com/ and here for some of the latest stuff. http://www.fullterrain.com/ you should be able to teach me a few tricks.

The P3D is a military aircraft. Certainly some interesting stuff in those 2 sites but I don't have the Sim program to download anything and try it.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

the P3D site does say that you cannot use the program to have any enjoyment so when ever flight simmers are using the program we are very unhappy.
The P3D V2.2 is only $60 for the academic ver, then you really need the scenery from Orbx and a very good graphics card in your pc, a good price to pay for a FS sim is around $3000 - $4000, desktop would be good I run FSX & P3D v1.4 on my desktop and the P3D v2.2 on a Dell AliaenWare 17 laptop.
