I was just going through some old photos for an example in another thread and I came across this one

It was about 1964 and Yes that's me holding the garden hose.......Notice my Dads ELECTRIC lawn mower in the foreground...I hope he had it "Tag and Tested" nono

Mower would be a RotoMo? also there were "Ladybird" elec mowers - both had 12" wide cut. They spun so fast they pulverised the grass and any toes that got in the way.
