Anyone travelling with a Travelhome fifth wheeler?

Hi there if anyone is travelling with a Travelhome fifth wheeler we would love to chat.

We have had ours (we call it 'Mac'), bought second hand from the Travelhome factory at Boolaroo NSW, for only a few months and are having some battery charging issues. confuse

Also would be good to compare notes and experiences.

Hope there is someone out there biggrin

Hi Traveling Wattos,

I have a 29' Travelhome and been on the road for two years. Presently parked on a farm at Port Macquarie while I attend to my health.

Hi Peter, thanks for replying. No other replies so far blankstare

I wish there was a Travelhome blog/forum where we all could talk about experiences etc.

Port Macquaire is a good place to be. Not good though that you are not A1 health wise.

Home for us is at Old Bar which is about 1 hour south of Port. We are housesitting at a place called Dundee Downs in the NT. A unique experience biggrin

You have been on the road for sometime. Where is home for you?

Steve and Trish

Hi Steve & Trish,

It was Port Mac before I sold up, now it's where ever I'm parked.

Are you guys happy with your Travelhome? Reason I ask is that the 26 footer is top of my shortlist for when I retire in 20 months time.

We have a 2007 25' Travelhome and love it. Haven't done a lot of travelling in it just yet but getting it ready to live in it permanently on the road hopefully next year sometime. Tows well and I can also tow it if necessary. We didn't want something too big to tow so this suits us perfectly.

Hello Bryan, Steve and I are happy with our 2009 25ft Macquarie Travelhome. I believe they (Travelhome) are now only producing the 26ft model which I feel is a good move.

I think you would be happy. There are other Aussie made 5th wheelers now. Not sure how they compare with Travelhome.

We needed to buy second hand (because of price) and some of the newer Aussie bred 5th wheelers are not old enough to have a second hand market.

We would be happy to answer any questions you have smile

They seem to hold their prices well.
