Howdyeeee folks, one of my favoured places is Darlington park, when I am in Brissie ,always go there, when I sold my home, and became homeless , went there for a week , to get my head straight, before talking of into the play ground,,,,,, enjoy,, Billeeeeeee
Never had a problem with Management, they don't tolerate loud music late at night , or bad behaviour, or rat bags, apart from that I give it 100% !!But!!..........Billeeeeeee
Management were great. Even delayed turning on the pump till we were ready to leave. Heaps and heaps of fireplaces there now.
Fantastic campfire all day and night.
Only problem we had was, Mrs Silp sliding Away was waving a bit of bread around, before going over to the campfire
to toast it.
When a couple of Rainbow Lorikeets tried to take it.
Was frickin hilarious the more she tried to shoo the bird, the more determined they tried to get it.
Warm and toastie in our beds we were too.
They are building a new bridge too . So can be a bit noisy down that end.
Sounds like you had a great time at one of our favourite spots, Kaid. We were there daughter and grandkids one time when a mini tornado came through - wreaked havoc - all of those gazebos so popular now, ended up in the bin. Camper trailers blown and bent out of shape - the guy behind us, well his tent with a huge tarp over it, just collapsed! A tent with a young child inside was blown several meters up the road - there were floor mats, buckets, fishing rods, you name it, being blown all over the place!
Two young girls were very lucky - they were running back to their camp, and stopped beside the big skip bin, which had a lot of stuff in it - when the wind came back the other way, and knocked the bin over - if they had gone behind it, they would have been squashed for sure!
People were walking around carrying all sorts of things, asking if anyone owned them - we were near the bridge at a bbq - my daughter was trying to cook sausages before the storm hit, when the wind came - she kept losing forms and knives she was using - we found them later stuck into the ground all round the bbq - that was a bit of a laugh!!! Half an hour later - the kids were all swimming again!!!
Great about the new bridge!
