Gunna go caravan park (nth of Proserpine Qld)

Has anyone stayed at the above caravan park lately. According at Badgers site last year it was in need of a good clean up but read somewhere that new managers have taken over. Can anyone confirm as will be heading that way next week.

Thanks

Thanks for posting the location in the subject line so those of us who have never heard of it have an idea of where it is. smile

Hey Gwian
Just did a google search and Listed as
Gunna-Go Caravan Park, 13067 Bruce Highway, Proserpine, Qld 4800
Hotel/Leisure Property No. 501086923 Show Page Visits
For Sale: P.O.A. Land Area 2.62ha (6.47 acres) (approx)
Floor Area 26,183 m² Last Updated May 27, 2014

I havent stayed there however just before you get to Proserpine (28min or 35klms) south side is a very beautiful CP at Midge Point.
Yes when we first heard the name we thought Im not staying where there are lots of midgees... how wrong we were...
Travellers Rest Caravan and Camping Park - Absolute great park & great management too.
Short walk to all the private beach you want....we loved it and use the spot to recoup on our journeys anywhere up there.
Cheers
KT

Agree with you Norm. We decided to book in there next week as we have stayed there a few times up and down the coast and it is a great park with very helpful staff.

We were there last week. A fantastic park. Cant speak highly enough of the owner managers. Its clean, grassy and well laid out. They do meals there and we had fish and chips. Excellent. Very friendly and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Please dont pass them by. We used the parkas a base for Airly Beach. Only a short drive and theyare dog friendly. Cheers Phil and Chris

Gunna Go Caravan Park 6k North of Proserpine

well worth a visit a great friendly part with plenty of shady sites, they have a fully licenced bar that opens daily at 4pm, generally during the tourist season they put on a free sausage sizzle friday nights.

Take away meals available Tues to Sat.
