Now the moral of the story is should the navigator get training to avoid scenes at Caravan parks and the like also. I say Yeeeeeeeeeess
Yep! That is covered in a towing course too. But you cant legislate for common sense.
Some people could do a towing course and learn all sorts of things to get a special license, (which would be great!) but they forget it all as soon as they take off.
When you see all the vans on the road, upon overtaking and then fish tailing. I think something needs to be done. Also why do the caravan parks have drive thru? for people who can't back. If you're driving or towing, especially larger caravans, 5th wheelers and motor homes, you should be experienced, and the drivers license should match the size of the vehicle not just the weight. As far as the government is concerned, I agree with all, they have there finger in too many pies as it is, regarding rv's.
Experience is the best teacher. The more practice each person gets backing and positioning a 5th wheeler or caravan the better he/she will become. Given, they may need help initially, however, the more experience they get the better.
