An amazing experience.

Today is cold, wet and windy, as it is in most parts of the country I think. Sitting inside I happened to look out the window at exactly the right time. On the hills around me I seen a rainbow with different colours and shape from anything I have seen before. I grabbed the camera and managed to get some shots, and while doing it the rainbow seemingly disappeared.

Certainly an amazing and different experience.

(Darn the pics have added not quite in sequence, however I am sure you will get the idea.)

Juergen I am still at Murrurundi NSW. I am not sure about that pot of gold, this was not like a normal rainbow, it was more like a band of colours cutting across the mountain.

I actually have photos somewhere in my archives of the end of a rainbow. That was pretty amazing also, alas not pot of gold though to be found, not even a little man in green.

Here is our rig when we left home a couple of years ago.  We are still chasing the pot of gold at the other end...

We actually drove through a rainbow years ago, had our four year old granddaughter with us, it was the most amazing thing. We stopped, got out and marvelled at how soft the air felt standing in the rainbow!!! Granddaughter still remembers it - says it is what made her so lucky!

Amazingly beautiful, was the rainbow nearer the ground?

I had the same experience that Jules describes, was very memorable and have not met anyone till now that has had the same experience.  I was like the colours of the rainbow penetrated me.. WOW!!
