Another newbie.

Evening all.. :wave:

Been reading the forum for a while now and thought I'd introduce myself.

Setting myself up to go solo full time travelling at the moment. I've been quite blessed really, decisions to do it for me have been pretty easy. I recently sold most of my business, planning to take whats left online so that I can work from pretty much anywhere. While this was going on, a real estate agent approached me out of the blue saying he had a buyer for my house. Great..  So settlement for the house is the first of December, I now have 5 months to get myself all set up, sell off all the accumulated garbage and hit the road indefinitely.

First I need to sell "Tru Blue" pictured above (anyone in W.A. interested let me know) so that I can get something with a little more space. I'm ultimately looking at something like a 9m converted bus. Yeah I know, might seem excessive for a single bloke to have a 9m bus to himself but I am downsizing from a 4 bedroom house, and this will be my home indefinitely.

I'm finding the whole concept of uncluttering very liberating so far, I've always been a bit of a hoarder thinking every item might "come in handy one day", when in reality you never use it. Not only did I have a 4 bedroom house but also a storage unit for the past 5-6 years, man what a waste of money that was. I've been a pretty shocking consumer, this is part of the reason why I'm looking forward to not having any space. If you don't have space for it, you can't buy it. Beautiful.

Anyway, any one have any experience and/or feedback about 9m converted buses, something like a fuso or hino?  I have also recently got a 3 door suzuki GV ready to tow behind it, undecided yet as to whether a trailer is best or perhaps flat tow?

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all you people who share your experiences on the road, especially you solo people. It is a pretty damn scary thing to do, I just want you to know that there's a lot of us out here that read about what you do, and you help to give us the courage to do the same, lots of warm fuzzies for us people unsure about stepping out there, good work..

Welcome EB, don't forget the site For Sale section, free for members to advertise, click on Contact Us at the top right of the page there putting in details of your RV, price and contact number etc, see;

http://thegreynomads.com.au/classifieds/for-sale/

PS:  Putting your RV in the "Show Us Your Rig" section on the forum with some details and inside/outside pic's etc will help anyone who might be interested, refer them to the For Sale section on the main page for price/contact details etc.

Welcome to the fold - you don't say where you are leaving from, but over the summer a great number of Grey Nomads from this forum usually gather at Greens Lake, in Victoria (it has its own sub forum on here with maps, photos etc) - is a great place to meet fellow travellers - never know, we might even be there ourselves!!

Why don't you start off with the Coaster, see how it goes after a while, you may find that you don't really need a big bus - minimilasation is the name of the game!!!
