Advice Requested - Buying a Used Motorhome very soon!

Hello Gang, hope to be seeing you all on the road soon!

Now have all my ducks in a row- I will be returning to Australia (Brisbane) after many years away, in the second week in August. I've rented a campervan for 2 weeks and will be chasing a used self-contained motorhome to buy almost immediately for full time solo living.

It needs to be under 50K and I'm not yet sure if I will go for a Coaster bus, Sprinter van, or Winnebago style truck. Depends on what feels right price-wise & size-wise- I'm a bit tall!

I will be visiting Motorhome Conversions in Brisbane and chasing a short list from Gumtree, Trading Post, and CMCA websites, driving round Brisbane out to Toowoomba, north to Gympie and south to the Gold coast hoping to find my new home on wheels and finalise a sale by the end of August.

Can anyone suggest other websites, or dealers with a good range of cheap motorhomes that I should check?

Also for Toowoomba and North & South of Brisbane are there any recommendations for good pre-sales inspection people? Gumtree has mobile mechanic ads for Brisbane, but not much further afield.

And if you know anyone who is selling, please let me know. I need to buy within a few weeks.

I need something reliable, need not be too pretty, but with inside shower and maybe some solar, or the room to do this with some DIY improvements, but under 50K.

All suggestions/recommendations gratefully received.

G'day and welcome to GN. We've just returned from Qld with our Coaster. It was wonderful and is a great rig - set up for bush camping with everything you could want. Unfortunately, my husband became ill and we had to return home, so we are about to put the Coaster up for sale. We're in Victoria and can be contacted through this site.
