satelite T V

Hi all,

We have an oyster satellite system which recently had the upgrade done, we then purchased a Sat King set top box as we were told that some 18 months ago the satellite was changed.

our problem is that we have travelled from  Qld to Perth, and I have tried tuning in to pick up west Australia T V channels but can still only pick up east coast & imparja

Question does west coast tv relay to satellite or can some one assist in advising me how to tune in

Thanks

Bobkat

Hi bobkat, and welcome to the forum. I assume that your Sat King box enables you to receive the VAST service which, for the commercial channels, effectively divides the country into two zones - WA and all other states. You're probably still receiving the 'East' service and will have to register with VAST as a traveller at www.mysattv.com.au/travellers.aspx and tell them you're now in WA so they can activate your set-top box to receive the WA service. You have to re-activate every six months to keep receiving the service. In WA you receive GWN, WIN and 10 West instead of Imparja, 7 and 10 Central (all states' ABC and SBS services are available Australia-wide).

Cheers

bobkat, where are you now in Perth?

http://www.mysattv.com.au/travellers.aspx

If you are already registered with VAST

https://www.myvast.com.au/register/reactivate

another site here with more info, I always thought you could phone them for activation

http://www.mysattv.com.au/

I'm going to look for the ph no, if I find it I will come back here later

Found it For Registration and Activation of smartcards, please call 1300 993 376 weekdays from 9:00am to 4:30pm (AEST)

it was at the bottom of the page listed above

Hi Glenelg, that's my Hino Rainbow - stripped down at the moment but will be converted to a motorhome later in the year.
