Was just going to say the same thing Phil, happened to us before and was the fuse.

Maybe the batteries didn't get charged. This will happen if not enough sun as you probably know anyway. Another thing it could be is a blown fuse, could be worth a check.

I have a little gauge I plug into a 12v socket that tells me how many volts are in there, I got it from Jaycar.

Thanks everyone - you were all correct - it was the fuse for the radio which obviously also supplied the 12v power for the TV and the aerial. We had a friend call us not long after we posted our request and he told us to check each fuse individually as you cannot tell from looking at the fuse box. Something else to put on our "check first" list.

I got onto ebay and purchased DC circuit breakers that look like and are the same size as the large auto blade fuses. This works OK, however we havnt had an overload yet so I cant comment. Anybody have any other ideas on these breakers? Your comments would be welcome.

I have not gone far into those Whirlpool links but the first one looks like it is referring to 240 V equipment and not applicable to this thread.

We have been fitting the blade style manual reset CB's (similar to the ones in PeterD's link) to mine service vehicles for a couple of years now, an at first i was a bit sceptical of their resilience and capability. Whilst we have never had any positive feedback from customers about them, we similarly have never had any negative feedback either. Believe me, you might not hear positive feedback on anything, from one our customers (A very large vehicle leasing operation), but you'll definitely hear negative feedback if there is a problem.
