Coleman's Mach, 9000 series, 61365 model (I think) with lo heat setting...

Our aircon has a lo heat setting. I am trying to work out what the current draw would be using an inverter to run this lo heat setting, and if it would be possible?

Ok people, I am a bit dumb when it comes to 12 volt dc to 240volt ac using inverters. We have the Elect-a-heat Coleman 9233-4551 Heating Element Chill Chaser Electric Heat Kit 5600 BTU 1600 Watts. How many amps will this draw through an inverter running off 12 volts?

HI Paul

1600W /12v  =133.3A add inverter loss [around 10%] =146.6A

Thanks oldtrack, I thought that was the formula but I did not think the numbers added up. SO, Diesel is looking like the way to go

for us away from 240volts.
