Good way to get a split personality furious furious disbelief ......A few years ago I was using a chain saw,my hand slipped,thank god for the safety bar.....Peter.

A bit of a problem IMHO,,, no chain brake (safety bar as some call it)

Stratco Harware have chainsaws for $95 today and Bunnings about $125 if I rcall.

I bought a cheap one from Masters about 18 months ago. Have worn out two chains on it and it has never missed a beat. Good value for $130.

It is Exceed brand (China), and yes it has a safety guard and chain brake.

John I couldn't see a chain brake in the pictures on the ebay site and the handle looks like it's bolted very rigidly???

Do you have a pic please?

EDIT: John I looked at the Exceed it is NOT the same one shown in the link in this post.

What about the safety gear and training with the smallest chainsaws, including the battery jobs you see about? The B-I-L, a landscape gardener doesn't seem to worry too much. Too casual for me.

Well I did put an order in for one but the supplier is a crook, no goods after 2 weeks so I told them to refund me and stick his business up is a r s e.

The supplier is DealsDirect - avoid them.
