she's 80 !

Well I know this isn't much for most of you out there who do big k's in your cars

but for me it is , and I have had my 2004 mazda 2 since new!! paid $18000 for her

and she had bugger all on the clock when I got her as a local dealer demo, The Road Runner

as I call it has given me so far 10 years trouble free motoring, other than the odd flat tyre  or

a flat battery , (usually my fault ) ..

I enjoy driving this little beast of a car and she still purrs like a kitten but she's got spark when she needs it...

she has her own carport.. some day a shed out  the back..

I think another ten years maybe??

whats the longest you have kept a car?

my mum and dad bought  a 1970 xy falcon when they were new, and

I bought it from them and had for about five years , but was in the family for 35 or so years I think..

I miss that car ,302 windsor v8 ,column auto , sadle tan interior, she wasn't quick of the mark like a 351 but she

was a car for cruising, and loved sitting on 120 , long long time ago...

any way , I love my mazda 2 now , so easy to park and run..

Hmmm....longest I have kept a car????  not sure on that as I tend to keep them until they are fit for the wreckers only.

But we have a 1984 Peugeot 505 STI sedan we purchased second hand in 1990....still going strong and sweet with 570000 k on it atm....and still a daily driver getting Mrs ST to work and other hack duties as needed.

I spose you could say it really doesn't owe us anything....but we would sure miss it if it died...as it has proved a reliable old girl for lotsa years now.

Cheers  Keith
