The Hats reporting in.

G/Day al,l we are the hats AKA Ron and Wendy(the hats is a nick name given to us buy my niece and nephew) We have just ordered our new van, a Roadstar 22'6" voyager off road. My tug is a V8 Troopy. The van will be ready in august or early September carn't wait to get on the road.

We have been in our own business for the last 5 years. I still do heavy vehicle training and assessing.I have spent over 35 years on the road as a road-train driver, and trainer.

Wendy left her carer in an Insurance company to run the office at home.

We are both excited and keen to get out there, After over 35 years off driving past all the good spots it is time to slow down and smell the fresh air.biggrinbiggrin

Cheers

The Hats

Welcome to the gang Ron and Wendy, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Good plan you have there so make sure it happens so you can smell the "fresh air".

Welcome guys handshake.gif

Enjoy the new toy, and I'm sure you know some great places that you would love to stop at when you do stop to smell the fresh air. flowerpot.gif

I would think you know a story or two of mixing RV's & trucks out there (good & bad). I'll look forward to your posts reading.gif

Glad to have such an experienced person on the forum Hats, welcome to both of you.

Perhaps later you might like to make a post on General on the best and safest ways trucks and RV can share the road together.

As you would know there is the odd cowboy in both truck and RV drivers out there, but most of us try to do the right thing and appreciate any feedback on sharing the road (and rest stops), especially those new at towing caravans etc.
