Leyburn is between Millmeran & Toowoomba, off to the east a bit.

We stayed a few days at the camp near town.

200 meter walk to the general store.

Beside the Condamine river ( saw a few locals fishing ).

Huge, open, level area. One toilet and showers next to the store for a gold coin donation.

Lots of bird life and a heard of goats helps keep the grass under control.

Good spot to mellow out.

I have been told that as of Sept.2014 the Leyburn free camp has been changed to a 3 day maximum.
Word has it that a small number of locals have objected to the free camp outright so the council has
compromised by imposing a 3 day limit.
