Just done a "croc cruise" in Darwin - small boat, with extended sides - but boy those critters get very close! Some of the crocs we saw were bigger than some of the little boats in the video clip petengail posted! NO WAY would I go out in a small fishing dinghy on the waters up here in the top end!!!

....although the guy was a tourist, from my observations the locals get very casual in there approach to danger and think we southerners are just a big girls...........must say they frightened the hell out of me even from a distance !!

I watched that movie Blackwater on TV the other night where this big croc flipped an aluminium dingy, scared the pants of me and I didn't leave the lounge room. blankstare
