Thanks all, apparently although he needs a bit more surgery and scans etc, the nurses have had him up for an assisted walk and his memory seems to be ok, so all good signs but early days yet.   Lets hope once he recovers fully he is ok (will have a plate in his head) and is able to go back to work (has his own business, but physical work).
