hi all,

can anyone tell me if they have been to burdekin falls dam cp and bivouac junction holiday park and what is your opinion. both up near charters towers.

will be visiting in that area in the next month or so.

thanks in advance for any info.

Been to the C/P at the dam but many years back so not up to date with that one, I think it was ok at the time but a lot can change in a few yrs.

Bivouac Junction is great place, peaceful with very friendly people, at least when I visited recently. Great prices too. Value for money for sure.

Spent a couple of nights about this time last year at Bivouac Junction and agree with Dougwe.
spent one night before we went there at the free camp across the road and considered the
long grass at the time and the number of people camping in it an absolute fire trap. but of course
it may not allways be like that.

Stayed at Burdekin Dam last week - grass sites with slabs, nice amenities, pool, lots of wildlife, fish in pools below the dam - all this for $15 per night with power - highly recommended.
