I believe Cindy doesn't delete members lightly and always does her own research before making any moves...

The other point I would like to make is that sometimes new member come here thinking they can take over the place and force their opinion on others...

This forum, like all other forums, is for offering your opinion while accepting others opinion.. and accepting that sometime there is more than one way to look at things..

Spot on Bill, and she has acted on a number of occasions to dump those who deserve it.  

That is not to say all, some are given a warning or told to tone their posts/pm's down depending on the circumstances.

Why not barrie? This is the real world where some need to insult others and they tend to gravitate across forums.

I left a popular forum after years of Cr** posts from some and they also move on. You can see their style as they reappear, and the same thing starts again on the new forum.

Yes Cindy does a good job on this forum.

 

Well Baz421 if poeple feel the need to insult people on here carry on as it's kindergarden stuff or maybe it's bullying or maybe some have thin skins

I don't understand why they leave because Cindy will expel the morans and it good riddance to them .I use this forum for imformation and it's great for that

Yes it is terrible that people are treated like this - when all said and done this is a friendly, informative site where, from my side, are a great bunch of like-minded people. This treatment happened to me on another site and I left. The person in question received some negative comments when it happened but I notice that he is still there and nothing was done to him. Congratulations Cindy for taking this on board and sorting it out - just hope the person that left can feel that they can come back as the bad egg has been sent packing!!

I have no idea who has gone, been without internet for a while. Will take me a while to read up all the old posts.

I was away when all this happened and no it wasn't easy to find who MAY have been the abused member as per my post link, I will say after some time searching again tonight I noticed a particular member was banned on the same day as the post by a member asking how to report abuse on the forum by, so I guess it is reasonable to assume they may have been the person involved, but I don't know for sure if they were the person or why they were banned.  And that was Native Pepper who was banned on 21st May, the day the other person said they would report it in the link.  So if it was, good on Cindy for taking the appropriate action which would have been warranted whatever the circumstances of that particular banning.

As a help to newer members or others who may not have read the rules I will just repeat Cindy's comments in the previous link I provided;

"I would like to make it very clear that the abuse of the PM system will not be tolerated on this forum. As far as I am concerned, there are no exceptions and no excuses. It is a fundamental requirement for a successful and harmonious forum The PM system is basically a way for people to make friendly contact with each other and maybe exchange more personal comments or information than they would choose to share on the open forum. This is clearly stated in our forum rules. If anybody ever has any issue in this regard or - more widely - any concerns about a particular post or a particular poster, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will take what I consider to be the appropriate action.
