Fires in Perth Hills, Today


It's that time of year again, Yep, "BURN-OFF TIME"

After last years disastrous fires in Perth's Hills,

they are doing the Burn-off's before the next storms, forecast in couple of days time.

No doubt there will be those who will whinge about the smoke but,

I'd rather see it now, not when the wind is blowing and the temp is in the 40's +

I'm with you Kiwijim. I lived for many years in the fire prone area just east of Bilpin in the Blue Mountains. We had fires on our back fence a few times but because ourselves and those around us were concious of the danger and him above kept a watch they never got closer than the fence. I could go on and open a can of worms but will not. I'll just say i Don't live there any more.
