Our travels across NT

Since our last post from Fountain Springs, far west Queensland, we continued west across the border spending our first night at Wurama Bore rest area, then on through Three Ways, down for a quick look at Tennant Creek (very quick, lol). Second night was at Banka Banka Station (beautiful spring water here & power, $10 per person), third night at Daly Waters pub, then on to Katherine. Stayed a couple of nights at Manbulloo caravan park so we could leave the van & dogs while doing the Nitmiluk Gorge cruise. Damn that's a beautiful spot.  Now at Big Horse Creek campground for a few nights. Good National Parks campground (dogs allowed in campground) right on the Victoria River. We went for a sunset cruise for around 17km west, nibblies, then return last night.  Beautiful scenery, wildlife & highly recommended.

I had heard that Banka Banka was closed some time back.

Definitely open a few days back, Jim. Good spot, well worth the $10 per person.
