Optitec power wheel

Thanks for all the help and advise when we posted about the best unit to use for moving our van from our driveway onto our front lawn area where it lives. Reversing is not a problem, but the area is very tight to swing it around. We decided on the Optitec wheel and are very happy with. Reverses van up the drive with ease, will struggle a little when going across to the the grass which is currently wet but we now put down 2 sheets of ply down on the grass for it to transfer onto and works fine. It has without a doubt made life a lot lot easier now when we hook on and off. We are using it to move a Tandom Jayco discovery pop top. The incline in our drive is only very slight and is going onto a very flat lawn area.

Hi Middo

The video John mentioned is a good representation of how it works. I took great video but have had trouble downloading due to the length of time and size of the file. We are newbies to this, only had our van for 5 months, and this definately makes it a lot easier - we got home late last night with our van and it was great to just pull in the drive and leave it until this morning when we unhooked and easily put it on the lawn with ease. Was also reasonable priced compared to everything else we looked at. $1295. Very good people to also deal with also. Good luck.

I'm also looking at this but at the new one being released Jan/Feb 2015. How heavy is your van please.

$1295 was a good price - I emailed Optitec to ask if they were clearing out the old version at a discount - was quoted $1495 (which was the listed price - no discount) - the new Version 2 is now $1695 - that's only $200 less than I can get a Purpleline Enduro ($1249 supply only) fitted to my van.
