Hi all; Our 320lt alloy water tank has cracked and split for the last time, I'm getting sick of paying good money to have it spot wielded, then filling it up to find another leak.
the tank measures 200cm long, 40cm wide, 40cm high and fits into the boot of our motorhome bus.
So I've been looking at getting a 300lt TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) water bladder to go into the tank.
I was wondering if anyone out there has got a CUSTOM made bladder? Where'd you get it? How much did it cost?
Please don't bother commenting about any poly van tanks, I'll just delete them and I'm not interested in any other sort of tank unless it meets the above dimensions.
If you can't find a bladder, get a tank made from stainless steel. Aluminium alloy tanks for fuel or water will always crack when subjected to vibration.... Unless strap secured with plenty of vibration insulation between the strap and the tank.
I hope this post meets your specifications for replies, if not.. just delete it.....

Thanks Bob, could be a goer depending on price, and I gottya...hehehe
i am currently running 2 bladders with no problems what so ever
i have an additional 55lt water bladder behind my seats (available off the shelf for hilux dual cabs but fits most
i also have a 70lt custom made diesel bladder made by matt at fleximake in dandenong in melbourne
main bladder is 1000gsm with a 900gsm protective cover around it at my request to add protection over corrugations www.fleximake.com.au/
cost was $330 inc gst
very happy with both as currently on an open end trip up in the gulf
I agree with Baz as I bought 2 x 200 litre bladders from them and they advertise the same price if you want to have it custom build as long as they don't use anymore material then the standard size ones they sell. Mine are 1350 long x about 600 wide x 400 high. Came with filling fitting, hose and tap. I planned on putting both on top of my trailer but now plan on only 1 and put the other under the trailer in a custom build box to house it, and the same goes for the top. One day I may get another one before heading out to where the water is not available too readily.
