Marj last posted on Facebook on Tuesday. They were eating at Hayes Creek. Her posting read as though they were heading to a camp just out of Darwin, so one would assume that is where they are now.
We are in Darwin - at the polo grounds in Berrrimah - Marj ad Steve are out driving around with Colleen(AME25) - we are at the park having been to the Stokes wharf for Barra and chips - yummy! Only staying couple of days. All well. Not good reception onphone or internet in a lot of the places we have been staying - boy Darwin has grown since I was here last!!

had to get you back in here or else you would be enjoying yourselves too much.
I know its a long way away, but as you come past Halls Creek the garage on the right they will left you have water if you ask nicely, you need to drive around the back for water and diesel fuel.
There are reports here in WA that there is a shortage of diesel at the current time.
It is in Berrimah, on the Stuart Highway Heading into Darwin - entry is via the side street just before the fields - Stratco is on the corner, and the entry is beside the Darwin Prison. Phone caretakers Allan and Anne - 0407 413 314. to ensure a site.

Great info, - thanks Jules.
We will be there in a few weeks.
We are at Swan Hill and heading for Port Augusta then up the middle.
Are there powered sites?
Patto44 - yes powered sites available as well as some unpowered - best to ring ahead and book - can get busy here, not a huge spot, but probably the cheapest in Darwin, this close to town. Caretakers are nice.

Hey guys, on the way west, check out Keep River National Park, on NT/WA border. Only a few kms of gravel road to get in to the campground and it is superb. Like the Bungles, in miniature.
one thing to watch out for is wikilinks I just had a look on there for site's down this way (south of Perth) and there are a few there that should not be, the one's that I saw are car parks onto free camps or overnight spots.
