This is a response to "brickies" comment that "they would not pay that sort of money to stay at someone's house."

Let me clarify that "brickies" has not stayed here or even contacted me to ask questions. I thought their response was very rude and I'm grateful that our rates will exclude them.

We welcome those who appreciate our excellent offer to host Grey Nomads in the Fraser Coast area.

Currently there is no "free camping" in Hervey Bay. Fines for trying to camp anywhere here are hundreds of $$

You will pay $30 - $50 per night at the Caravan Parks in the area. By comparison we are only asking $15 - $22 per night and we also offer to trade skills for those who would like to save money.

We offer a completely different setting to an overcrowded, expensive Caravan Park. You will be staying with fellow Grey Nomads.

You don't have to share a bathroom with hundreds of other people or fight for a washing machine.

We are pet friendly and your dog won't have to be tied up all the time.

Our name will give you a clue. We are "frasercoast HOSTS'

Anyone staying here will be given individual attention, have our help and local knowledge for whatever they need.

Our home is walking distance to the beach and very private.

We have a Men's shed where you can access tools, sewing, art and crafts for the girls.

You will be treated as friends and made to feel at home. What price would you put on that??

Just a note to let GN know that we have a booking for 3 months. Will post here when the site is available again.
If you are in Hervey Bay and would like to have a meet up give us a call. We can help out with local knowledge.

Happy Travels,
Christina and Ken
