The new van is all packed and ready to go, so we are off to WA on Wednesday.
We plan to head West to St George and then across to Innamincka, do the Strzelecki & Oodnadatta tracks, into Alice Springs, then across the Great Central Road into WA. After that we will be zig-zaging our way up to Broome. Can't wait to get out into the bush again, looking forward to seeing some of you out on the road.
You can't miss the truck !
Outback and Country Shows in Queensland
Now is a great time to visit Outback Queensland. Not only is the weather great with nice days and cooler evenings, but it is Show time!... If you get the chance to be in town when the local show is on, it is definitely worth a visit!.... good country entertainment, craft and cake displays, animals, rides and a great atmosphere.
Munbililla Campground ( or Tomato Island as it is commonly known) in NT is open for the winter season. We called in there on our last trip and the new facilities are amazing...it is always very popular and the the fishing is great!.
If you want a a quieter campsite there are also 3 new "bush camps" close by. They are called Bull Shark, Mountain Creek & Baba DiDi Jacma. Have toilets and fire pits, and fees are collected daily. No pets allowed in these 3 but Munbililla is OK for pets.
You can read more about the campsite on their facebook page
