Ebay has been hacked by the Chinese

Anyone who has Ebay account best to  change your pass word asap, those Chinese hackers have got all accounts  and pass words.

If you go  into Ebay be most likely they will ask you to confirm your account name or email and pass word, then the send you a email  to verify it is you and request you change you pass word.

I have just changed mine  here.

My guess is that you may have been hacked Graham, I just checked all of our accounts and they are all clear.. no need to sign in again..
I would never take anything the ABC reports as gospel either..

And just how is the ABC responsible for the timing of the release of information from a private, American corporation?

IMHO: all is same...
EG: ebay, webforums, interent banking, social media chatrooms;

i.e. anything/everything caught on either webbrowser history or internet-enabled, laptop preferences is there for the taking (and is often taken)...and very few participants expect it.

Meanwhile, cheers graham (chickenman) for a timely and worthwhile post. I dont know what the modernday equivalent to Caveat emptor is, though I suspect we shall ALL know, soon enough. <IMG SRC=" title="Doh!" />

It has been on the news and anywhere else of importance. I got an email from them as well.

I logged in, no I didn't go through any link on the email. Found a message about the chinese hackers so changed my password.
Oh yes it is genuine.

I always thought the Chinese were smarter than that.

Fancy hacking into a site that sells mostly Chinese stuff??

The again, we have just returned from a holiday in China and they seem to export there products and only buy high end brands.

Ken

Thanks for the heads up though.

Just changed my passwords

Do not use any links to change your password, type ebay.com if you use the world site or ebay.com.au if you use the aussie site then login and change your password.

You can read English, obviously, but need to take a course in identifying sarcasm.
