Greetings fellow Grey Nomads. If you are heading to the Fraser Coast Hervey Bay, Queensland and looking for free or budget camping you'll find there is not much on offer. However, there is an alternative.
We are "parked up" at home for the next year and have room for one RV or Caravan on our 1/4 acre block near the beach in Point Vernon. Our large 4 bedroom home has two bathrooms. There is room in our garden for your RV (up to 20ft) Car separate park.
For $20 per night we offer a powered site with water, camp kitchen, laundry, bathroom & toilet. As much privacy as you need or join us for the occasional movie, walk around the foreshore or shared meal.
Ken has a Men's Shed for the blokes to tinker. There is a craft/art space for the Artists.
Please note that we are not able to accommodate Smokers due to allergies.
Small well behaved dogs are also welcome. We have a little dog ourselves.

We are enquiring if you have a spot in the near future. We are currently house and dog minding on Bribie Island, and when we finish here we intend to hook up our van and travel a bit further North. Your offer sounds excellent.
We have a 15ft van, no pets, and Kev loves to drop a line into the water and scare the fish away. The last time we were in Hervey Bay the population was about 10,000, so you can imagine it was a long time ago.
