Do kids design these generators?

I have a Power boss   generator 2 kva,  the security cable goes around the handle but? there are 4 screws that can be undone  the handle easily and  bingo one generator goes missing no

Surely why could they  not put a bracked that is on the  chassis and almost impossible to steal as I have the Honda security cable?

Also  the Honda 2 kva handle is on plastic 20 secs with a hack  saw kiss it good bye?

Can the screws be replaced with one-way,anti theft screws ?
Shouldn't have to do it. That should have been in the design.

It's only plastic chopit so I reckon they could just cut through it real easy and Genney would be staying with someone else.

Gee whiz things must be bad down south if you have to chain up the genny. Could you not just pack it away once the batteries are charged or when you go for a drive/walk?

I think that's what 95% do now, but some let em run out of petrol at night, saves goin out etc etc.

You can hear em running out of fuel slowwwwwwwwwly.

Gday...

I was camped at Wilks Park, Wagga Wagga a cuppla years ago. There were a few of us parked way over and away from the amenities block so we would not annoy anyone with our gennies.

We were sitting under the awning of one camper and about 7pm, his gennie seemed to stop for a minute and then it all came back on - sort of like a hiccup. confuse

When he went over to turn it off at 8pm, he noticed his Honda 2kva had gone and in its place was a Honda 1kva ... someone apparently had simply started their 1kva and then pulled the plug out of his 2kva and quickly plugged it into the 1kva and walked off with the 2kva.

They cheeky and enterprising some of this travelling mob. cry

I used to ALWAYS have mine chained to the A-frame of the van when it was running, and put away before I went to bed. Got solar now so not a problem.

Cheers - John

Yes John we have heard of 2 instances in last 7 years,,,

one like you describe at night and another when a different genny was dropped off and connected same as you describe and was last seen heading off on a motorbike rider's lap.
