I don't think so you will need to fill in a form and send to them, and wait until they reply, once done via phone you can then renew online, they will send an email to you.

Sorry Wombat-not true

you can complete the form online and it is usually processed within minutes or at worst a few hours. I have set up several that way and it is usually very quick.

To Snap- complete the online form and see how you go. they will send you a confirmation email to ensure your email account is valid.

Hey Wombat-no worries mate I think I might have misread your post.

I thought you were indicating that snap had to fill in a paper form and mail or fax it in.

my apologies.

The last one I set up was just after new years

I completed the form online and submitted it and the box was on air a half hour later after clicking on the confirmation link in the email that came back.

Most of the setups I have done have been pretty quick.

when I first did mine a few years ago, they phoned me and asked for the decoder to be switched on and did the connection, that was after 4 days of waiting, good to see things have improved.

snap1946 should have his going sometime today, unless he has already seen your post and is too busy watching tv biggrin

G'day Snap

good to know you are "on the air"

thanks for letting us know how you got on

It would seem the online submission only works on work days.

I have been to a friends place today to setup her dish, she has noit had it going for a while and I told her to do the re activate and she got an email say all ok, when I get their today and set up she has only got abc & sbs for all states, by the time we finished it was too late to contact vast, she will do that tomorrow.

Wombat you can get online and do a "rehit" which will send the authorisation codes within seconds of you clicking the button any time of day or night.

do that here: www.mysattv.com.au/decoderrehit.aspx

I know this one works anytime.

G'day Snap

they can hook up to your dish IF;
you have a dual output LNB (two connectors)
they have a satellite receiver like you do
their coax cable is long enough

if all those conditions are met the answer is YES

if ANY one of them is not met the answer is NO

There may be other ways but they would mean both TV sets would see the same channel/program

does that help?

frank

No worries Snap

Hey Wombat, can you just picture the "other people" just getting to an interesting bit in a program and snap decides to surf the channels??????

I think something unladylike may be said.

thoughts

frank
