Niagara Dam near Menzies WA

Hi all, has anyone recently been to Niagara Dam, would like an update on general conditions and if it is getting any local yobbo traffic as we are hoping to spend a bit of time up there in the next couple of weeks. Cheers, John.

We camped there for a few days. peaceful except i believe gets some regulars during school hols. Just as an aside, "local yobbos" in any area are as entitled to enjoy these spots just as much as grey nomads.

There is also Malcolm Dam near there (north) - no facilities but I loved it. Heaps of room to camp. There are new toilets and a dump point out at Lake Ballard (where the sculptures are) and a very pleasant place to camp - just no water in the 'lake'. 50 km of good dirt road.

Yes Tezza, I have no probs with locals, just sometimes it turns out to be a place where the hoons tend to gather on weekends away from the local constabulary and raise mayhem, this happens at a few easy to get to places within easy reach of a local town, just trying to keep stress out of my life at the moment.

Does anyone know where we can fill our drinking water supply, anywhere between Kalgoorlie and Menzies, or is fresh water (drinkable) available in Menzies, heading up there on Friday and don't want to lug any extra weight up through the hills if I don't have to. May not make Lake Ballard on Friday, will stop over somewhere for the night, any suggestions for a good free camp area? Cheers, John.
