Wallam Creek near St George is a great spot ... Toilets, showers, drinking water on site, located in town, very RV friendly small town, but no fish as creek almost dry.  Would be glad of info also for reverse of your trip.  Try Wiki Camps if you have it As you are more likely to get up to date info.  River at St George is full but not sure if any free camps along it. River at Nindigully also running but although people fishing I did not see anyone catch anything except a beer at the pub!  Best of luck ... Will be interested to read others responses As we are at Wallam Creek for another few days then heading straight out west towards SA then either to NT or towards Normanton.
