I have a Projecta 150 dual battery set up and no instructions on how it operates....does the Vehicle alternator charge the 2nd battery in the car ? Does the Van Battery get topped up by the 2nd Vehicle Battery via the Anderson outlet if wired to the Van ? If the Van is not wired to the Anderson plug does the auxiliary battery in the vehicle still supply to Van Battery via the normal trailer connection ? If your main battery in the Vehicle dies are you able to use the 2nd battery to start the car ? The module has a red and green light plus a push button....the red is on all the time, what are the functions of the green light and push button ? How would you know if the 2nd vehicle battery is on the way out ?
Normally the Projecta allows the alternator to fully charge the start battery when that is fully charged the auxilary battery is then switced in to be charged, most setups would have the van battery in parallel to the aux battery.
You would really need someone to have a look at Your setup to know the "full story". The wiring of a 7pin plug would not carry sufficent current to charge a battery & would require an anderson plug or similar.
I have a short Jumper lead, a cable about 1 foot long with a clamp at each end connect +to+ and the aux can the be used to start the car.+=red
If You Google Projecta You should be able to get a spec sheet on the control module.

Hope this is of some help.

If yours is the VSR type, which it sounds like from your description, why don't you just use the override switch to jump start?
