Hi guys. Our plans once again have changed due to family medical delays. We were taking a c.van but can't rebook as full. Grr. so have decided to go anyway minus van and pay caravan or cabin stays along the way. We do have tent for warmer areas. Plans are made to be changed right? so wondering where we can stay cheap on the way to wa. crossing nullabor maybe head south first or north first in wa. Have dual cab nissan navara. If any one can suggest places etc from melb on would be grea no more than 4 to 5 hrs travel per day. Have 5 months if finances hold out. never been wa. Thanks ð
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but be aware that you will be paying in excess of $2.00 per litre across the Nullabor. Nullabor Village is the most expensive. Be prepared to be searched as you cross the border in WA at Eucla.

Take your time and camp a lot if you want to save money. Long distances if you go north of Perth but wonderful camps everywhere. The fuel is cheaper in mining towns. It all evens out in the end.
