why don't they put prices on there vans in magazines and on there web sites. New vans I'm talking about. Shopping for one but as I work away for month at a time I can't get to the yards and I have a budget . So spend a week looking at a particular brand only to find out its way over budget .More just a statement than a question , something that peves me.
If the price had been published, you would have known immediately that it was way over budget. So you hung around, which is what the retailer wants you to do, hoping that you'll make contact, or visit the showroom, so that they get the chance to give you the big sell in person.

2 years ago ,when I was looking for a van,I would scour the two main mags for product. As I would come to a review I would go direct the section that had the price ,if no price or a "refer to manufacturer " I simply move on to the next review. I frankly don,t understand why the mags do not insist on a base price at least .Whats the big deal ? In fact it also peeves me with regard to new products at the rear of the mags too that give you a big spiel and no price !.John

Prices for caravans, even the same van, can vary so much, depending on the options you want. Just as important is where you buy the van. A van built and sold in Melbourne will cost less than the same van in Perth or Brisbane.
You can't be too interested in buying a particular van if you can't be bothered making a phone call to your nearest dealer. Charlie

While that is true with many vans due to transport costs to other states, however for some reason it is not true with Coromal.
They are built in Perth subs, but the price is the same in all states. You would think they would be cheaper to buy in Perth but that is not the case. It would seem this is just greed seeing the Perth bought ones do not have transport costs if bought in Perth, I can't see any other reason for it.
Vic Every rule will have an exception and Coromal could be the exception with caravans. They may have amortised the cost over the whole country. I remember being camped along the TCR and seeing half a trainload of Jaycos heading west, and thinking it must have cost them a few bucks.
Maybe Coromal should shift their production to Melbourne where most caravans are built, and then restructure the costs from there. Charlie
Yes Jayco costs more in WA Charlie to those bought in Victoria as the freight cost is added, no stamp duty on caravans though in WA and rego is cheaper compared to some states. Still cheaper to buy Jayco here with more bells and whistles than Coromal.
Coromal/Windsor/Camec are owned by Fleetwood....
PS: Hope Coromal don't move to Victoria, won't be good for our local jobs etc.

Just slightly off topic but one o0f my pet peeves is when someone puts something up for sale with just a
FOR SALE Sign on it when for less effort they could put the price on it and that would also indicate it is for sale..
I refuse to go and ask I just assume they are unsure of the amount they want and make up a price dependent on what they think they may be able to screw out of you..
