It says the warranty is void if other capsules are used. I will compare capsule prices and decide when the savings equal the $80 it cost. That or wait till end of warranty period and I have nothing to lose.

Yes, the Woolies &  Aldi pods appear to be the same size but the Nespresso pods are smaller

I have one of these also - Breville brand with the $60 cashback!  So glad I have changed from the old style machine - have never had a problem and as mentioned these are several options for brands available.   According to HN there are very slight variations in the Nespresso compatible pod brands, however they have all worked for me ......... coffee never tasted better!  Only thing I hate is at least with the Nespresso brand the variety of coffee is stamped/embossed on the foil whereas there is nothing to identify the other brand varieties once you removed from the box and put into a stand.

Speaking of which - i do believe its coffee time!

I think Aldi Pods work out at 37c each for the Coffee..

The hot chocolate is 50c each.. Not bad price wise..

The white chocolate is damn nice..

PIAZZA DORO makes coffee capsules that ARE suitable for 'Nespresso' machines and they are sold at Woolworths and Coles for $5.95 per pack of 10 capsules. The coffee is excellent and the RED and PURPLE (7 strength) is the equal of the 7 strength Nespresso capsules which is the smooth full flavoured coffee that I prefer, however at least 8 strengths and flavours are available.
