That shot you had with the Kookaburras sitting on the Aussie Flag on Australia Day was fantastic Marj, worth being in a photo competition I reckon......if you still have it could you repeat it here please, taken at Greens I think....
This the Longreach camp where we are at the moment, a great spot and a great town for the tourists. They really do cater to us very well, the best town I've come across so far. Will come back next winter for another look around.
Greetings, fellow fruit loops, the Master is Crocheting her dash mat, feeing a tad cool, Doesn't Steve look spiffy in his new hat,,,,Marj thinks soooooooo,,,, the Circus moves out to Winton tomorrow, Hoping no one gets lost, remember Nomads, we are not guaranteed tomorrow, lets get out there and enjoy the moment,,,,,, stay excited Nutters.... Billeeeeeee
We have now arrived at Winton, and camped at the Long Waterhole. Quite a good spot but the ground is very dry and cracked. Have to make sure Molly doesn't disappear down one. Haha.
Been a bit cold the last few night, have hunted and found my long johns for tonight as my legs ached in the cold last night in Longreach.
Just about to put photos up and laptop and resize while eating tea. Should have them up shortly.
Take your time getting to the West Coast, floods in Exmouth at the moment but as a general rule don't go south of Carnarvon until about September, then do the wild flower circuit east/south east of Geraldton when you get down to their. Google West Australian Wild flowers for best times etc.
Long way off yet but I will be following your journey along the way.
Happy travels,
Vic PS: I want one of those gings for Wombat hunting....
