"A two-metre-wide sink hole has opened up on the Bruce Highway near Bowen in Queensland, forcing police to close the road and divert traffic. The road is closed between Bowen and Proserpine with authorities diverting traffic to the Peak Downs Highway through the Bowen Developmental Road. Police said a section of the highway, 30 kilometres south of Bowen, has collapsed. The highway will remain closed on Thursday."

Good to see the GN network quick on the report there Dorian.

Sure hope there were not any injuries.

As of 8.00am the report is, they hope to open at least one lane within a couple of hours.

If we let the mining companies carry on with CGS, the fracking could potentially cause more sink holes. Lucky no one was driving on that particular bit of road when it happened.
