Welcome scooner,

some TV sets have a "brick" style power pack that is plugged into the 230v supply and a lead from that goes to the TV this usually indicates the TV will run on 12v as well.

TEAC is one in the 19-22" sizes.

suggest having a look around the appliance stores as they will be much cheaper than a dedicated "camping TV" from an outdoors type store or caravan parts dealer

suggest also you use the search function on the top bar of the home page. Kogan TV's have a very poor sound system so some external speakers may be required for reasonable sound.

we have a 22" , got it from Dicky smith but Aldi had them cheap a while ago. Simular to other posts on here 12v/240 v via a power pack , pulls about 60w and also has a built in dvd player

We picked up a 22 inch CVA brand from "The Good Guys".
12/240 volt. Easy to read & use remote.
A bit over $120.
Bought a Dick Smith TV with a DVD player built in.
Found the remote a real pain to use.
Many TVs seem to have poor speakers.
We bought a waterproof speaker from Aldi.
USB rechargable & plugs into headphone jack.
About $30. Use it for TV, MP3 & radio.
Silicone rubber cone shaped. Very handy.

Hi
I have a new motor home that did not come with a TV or TV antenna (I have a 12 volt TV)
What Antenna should I purchase and where from?
Should I fit the antenna myself?

When purchasing TV try to buy the straight 12V lead, Most vans will have 12V output in them.. No point in running 240V transformer when you already have 12V..
We have 120 watt panels with two 12v 130 ah batteries .. We've NEVER flattened the batteries ..Yet !! TV hardly draws any current..

It doesn't hurt to invest in a 12volt / 12 volt transformer to protect your tv from any surge, I have a Kogan all in one, tv,dvd, usb etc, works fantastic, but i run it through the transformer so that it doesn't get voltage spike, just straight 12 volt as sometimes the batteries can be charged up to 14 volts and a lot of electronics don't like that much juice. Cost me $39 from Jaycar.
